Summer Photos-Key to gardening success

Well, summer is officially here; it's time to relax outside by the pool and enjoy our garden. One of my favorite things to do is to take pictures of our plants at this time of year. We do it for a couple of reasons...first and foremost, enjoyment. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing your hard work come to fruition. Please think of how you took a tiny seed, watered it, nurtured it, stressed over it (or maybe it was a smaller plant you got from the nursery)....what you thought was this was the possibility...the flower...the joy...the excitement and now it is here. What better way to capture that memory than sharing it with others? Seriously open to ideas here if you have any, as we have LOTS of plant pics on our phones.

Secondly and the biggest reason to take photos is for planning. What our gardens will look like next year is one of our winter conversations. These photos help. What new plants did so well that we HAVE to get them again? We took seeds from can we share with family and friends (nothing beats sharing seeds with loved ones, and they LOVE to see a picture of what you are giving them when you do so.)

Lastly, we've all been there a plant that struggles, didn't thrive. These photos help when considering if you want to try again. What's the lighting in this location? Did it get too much sunlight? Not enough; should it be moved? Did we start it too late? Did we start them too early? While you won't be able to answer all of your questions with just a photo, it can lead you down the path of discovery. So here we are...some of our favorite images of 2021. Stay tuned as we share more and more with all of you!
